Hi Friend!

I am Brandy, the face behind Brandy Lee Photography. Born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. I have been interested in photography since I was about 12 years old. I am a mama of 2 kiddos who are wild and loving with adventure in their hearts. I became a mama at a very young age. About 6 months after my first child (who is now 13 years old) entered the world, my passion for photographing grew more and more. With their growth, also came the urge to capture every milestone so that I can hold onto these moments forever.

Before I went full time with my photo biz, I owned a group licensed daycare for about 6 years. I have always been passionate about kids and making them comfortable/happy. Because of this, I am confident that I’ll be able to connect with your kids and get genuine giggles from them! I will do everything I possibly can to create emotive memories for your family. It is my personal goal to hear your kids say “let’s go back to her next time we have our photo taken”. I want this to be an experience your family will remember in a positive way!

My Core Beliefs:

  1. Always be kind - Kindness is something you will see throughout our entire session. I will laugh, play, maybe even hug your family by the end of our time spent together! Be prepared for me calling your kids ‘hunny’ or ‘sweetheart’ about 17 times while I’m around them! Being kind is contagious and that’s something I hope to spread.

  2. Always Put Your Comfort First - When you hire me, I will not just be your photographer, I will become your friend! I will cheer you on in life, I will bond with your family on a more personal level and be happy with you, not only for you, when I see the milestones you all grow through in life. In my opinion, creating a genuine connection between you all is a very important step to help you become comfortable in front of the camera.

  3. Always be Authentic - Authenticity in images is what I strive for. I don’t just want to photograph what fits my portfolio - I want the REAL you. The raw, the unposed, the happy, the loving, everything that is your family. My goal is to bring out true emotion and to show love in each photograph we create together.

  4. Always Communicate - Communication is key to make sure you get all that you can out of our time together. Knowing all the details about what you envision for a session capturing your family’s love perfectly, will allow me to help that dreamy session come to life. This is more than just a photo session, it is a collaboration between myself and your family coming together to create memories that you will hold onto for life.

My family is the reason that I understand the desire to document moments. We know that time goes by way too quickly. This is why I love to capture the realness and unposed moments. It perfectly showcases your family exactly how they truly are, how you will want to remember them. You don’t want the forced smiles, you don’t want the ‘perfectly posed’ image. You want to look at these photographs and remember every ounce of love you felt in the moment we snapped that photo.

Let’s capture your babies and all that they are. Their toothless grins, their curly hair, their little chubby fingers. Childhood is fleeting. It’s important to document them in every stage.
